Coffee

comes from a plant, the coffee shrub or tree produces seeds that
look like berry's, called coffee beans. Coffee beans are picked when
they are green and roasted. When the coffee bean is roasted the
color changes from green to yellow and then to light brown. The
longer the coffee beans are roasted the darker brown the beans will
get. The lighter the brown is the lighter the roast, the lighter the flavor
is. The darker the brown the darker the roast, the stronger the flavor.

How do you like your coffee?

Hot, cold, iced, sweet, and /or with cream or milk...
there are so many way to drink coffee.  Here are a few way you can enjoy coffee.
Cowboy Style:
In a pot or kettle add
12 cups of water
4 well rounded table spoons of coffee grounds
Bring to a boil and then turn the flame down a bit so your coffee don't boil over on your stove. Keep at a low boil for about 10 to 15 minutes
add a 1/2 cup of cold water this will settle the grounds so you won't have to strain the grounds through your teeth.
Pour you a cup, drink it black- with nothing in it, or you can add sugar, cream  or milk. Some like to add ice cubes.
American Style:
In your coffee pot add
4 well rounded table spoons of coffee grounds
12 cups of water
turn pot on if it is a drip or plug pot in if it is a percolator as soon as your coffee gets done pour you a cup and enjoy it black- with nothing in it or you can add sugar, cream or milk. Some like to add Ice cubes.
Here is a tip that helps some people out when you pour you a hot cup of coffee you can add just about a table spoon or two of cold water to your cup. For some reason this seams to help settle the acid in coffee so you don't get heartburn from it as much or as bad.
